Clear Blue Skies and Snow???

Paul loves donuts so he and Stephanie made a plan to try a new local donuts shop Saturday morning before we head to Mt. Shasta.  Psycho Donuts in Campbell is not your ordinary corner donut spot.  This place puts a whole new meaning to donuts and the health risks of eating them.

We bought 6 donuts and 4 of us could not eat them!  They have crazy toppings, funny names and are big enough that 1/2 a donut is too much.  I had the apricot fritter and it was tasty and covered two breakfasts for me.  We do like to try these creative businesses – not sure this will be a repeat but it was interesting.

After filling ourselves with an extreme sugar high we loaded ourselves into our home on wheels and headed north to Lake Siskiyou Camp and RV resort near Mt. Shasta.  We arrived on Sunday to very warm weather where we quickly got set up, greeted our friends, 4 couples that are spending the week with us and headed to the lake for a quick dip before dinner!  The RV park is very nice and located on this small lake north of Lake Shasta with amazing views of Mt. Shasta.

Mt. Shasta is amazingly large.  We could see it coming on I5 from Redding which is over 70 miles away. The park has lots of trees and is very quiet.  The beach is really nice although we are not getting to spend much time there because it has cooled off substantially.  We are getting in some golf while we wait for the weather to warm up, hopefully by the weekend.

ShastaA very challenging course with spectacular views.  Two rounds of 9 holes and I am very satisfied with my game!  Putting is another story.
