We have packed up and moved to the San Joaquin Valley. The adjustment is on going. I am commuting which isn’t too bad but I would not do this everyday. The best part of this whole transition is Paul lived in this house first so I am like a guest and he does all the cooking etc. Duke and I are still not completely comfortable but we are putting our mark on the place. Yesterday I had Paul hang photos of the girls on the living room wall and a painting above our bed. Duke has found his spot in the front window! Each day Paul goes to work and when he comes home, Duke is sitting there just waiting. Moving in stages like this was not something I was looking forward to. I was ready to just sell everything and quit our jobs and get on the road, but this has been eye opening. There are lots of things that we haven’t thought of and now we have time to make sure we get most everything done. A big example is you have to have a permanent address other than a PO Box! We are learning and will be ready to shove off June 1, 2009!
