Silver Dollar City

We have been spending a lot of time indoors as it has not gotten over 40 for about 4 days!  The good news is it is giving me time to get my taxes done (great fun!).

We did try to get out on Sunday and go to the local amusement park, Silver Dollar City.  They were having a special festival however we didn’t last long as it got really cold.  Before we left we did take in the cave tour, Marvel Cave which is how the whole amusement park started, with tours of the cave beginning with a giant sink hole!  Very cool, 50 stories into the ground and we had to walk all the way down and 15 stories back up before they finally put you on a tram.  The cave was pretty cool.

Walls raining?

We stood here and watched a blowing a glass vase for almost an hour. No wonder hand blown glass is so expensive!

Paul & our friend George are watching one of the craftsmen or maybe they are just standing there wondering where they could go and get warm!  It was right after this we decided to call it a day and go home.
