New Years is upon us

Thursday, December 27th, 2012

I got everything I wanted for Christmas and more!   We had a wonderful Christmas with just the 5 of us adults and 3 dogs!!!  I gained only a couple of pounds so I think that is a success.  The new house was a blessing.  You don’t realize how important the extra space is until you get to enjoy it.  I love my little home on wheels but for a big holiday gathering it is so nice to have the space to get out of each others way and come back together often during the day.

Now that the gifts are opened, the meal is only leftovers, the tree is laying in wait in the yard we can look forward to a New Year.  Look out here comes 2013 ready or not!!!

Our family grows!

Meet Tucker!

Amy has a new Baby Boy!

Tucker arrived just before Christmas and has made himself quite comfortable in his new home.  He has Amy on a schedule of his choice;  Allie is enjoying some exercise;  and Stephanie is getting her puppy fix!

It’s 5:30 am and I am done sleeping alone in my crate!!!

There is plenty of room for both of us!

Amy has wanted a puppy for at least a year so after getting her home in order she finally made the move.  He is so cute and lovable but I am so glad I only have to visit!  He sleeps a lot but when he is awake look out!

Cold, white stuff!

Our friends, Tony and Janet have a Christmas Tree farm in Clearlake where we came for a few days to help sell trees and a few days away from the  RV!  the weather has not cooperated with the tree business!  Yesterday was so cold the rain turned to snow!

Too cold and wet to play in!

It was wet snow and didn’t stick on the ground but looked beautiful falling and accumulating on the hill behind the house.  We only sold a few trees !  Hopefully they can sell more trees this week.

The cold kept us inside where we enjoyed a couple holiday drinks to keep us warm!

Time is flying by

December already!  We had a wonderfully small Thanksgiving dinner at the new house with friends visiting for dessert.  The house is very much a home now and the girls both seem very comfortable.  Last week I painted the Sun room a bright red and it looks great.  The girls decorated for Christmas last week and it is so cute.  This is definitely their home and you can see their personal touches throughout.  Amy  has her family room in a blue beach style and Stephanie has her family room  very pet friendly!  Duke loves that he knows where she keeps the treats, in fact one day he helped himself to the Greenies!!!

Sunday it was raining so we all took off for the movies.  Lincoln is a very moving historical movie.  The kids were interested but agreed with me that it was reallllly long!  I think it is because you know what happens at the end.  Spielberg does a really good job of making it interesting and not old.

I am finishing my Christmas shopping and have most of it wrapped.  Just a couple more weeks!
